Very warm evening at the Jurong lake Mid Autumn light festival. Too big a place to walk, if you have strollers, scooters, prams. Do bring them. Carpark are quite far away as all HDB carparks are full.

Food choices are very little, most are snacks. You can eat at nearby Teban Gardens Hawker and then walk over.

Had a nice dinner here! The restaurant was slightly crowded, but the service was still attentive and friendly. We ordered the aglio olio and truffle pizza. The pizza was slightly overcooked, but overall we still enjoyed the food and had a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the hospitality!

Food was pretty decent, where we tried the har cheong gai (prawn paste chicken winglets), the Hainanese pork chop with rice, a dry laksa linguine with tobiko, and a kid's fish & chips meal. But the service was next level. We visited on a Saturday when the Mid-Autumn Festival was being held and had to wait an hour just to get seated. Despite that, the young lady at the hostess counter did an amazing job of keeping her cool to handle the never-ending queue of new customers while simultaneously rushing in to furiously clear and wipe down tables (she was literally doing at least two person's work). And kudos to the gentleman manning the bar (and the payment counter; another work whiz) who did his best to get me my beer (so I could drink and wait for a table in the sweltering evening weather) first over the long list of orders he had to fulfil. These two won me over (and a small tip).

This beautifully built and managed restaurant is nicely tucked away within the Jurong Lake Gardens. Often I had walked past it as usually when coming to the gardens for a walk, I usually won’t end up going to a restaurant to chill or for a meal.

However, I did make an effort to drop by as I was hosting a friend around and we needed a pitstop from the blazing hot sun to have some drinks and snacks.

What was quite surprising is their reasonably-priced beers on tap and pretty tasteful snacks that paired well with the beers. Happy hour was extensively long and spans most of the week, so it is nice to know there is such a lovely beer place around in Lakeside, something which you probably cannot find at least with views of the beautiful gardens!

Definitely a nice place for dates or just a chill out gathering and the place is quite big for large groups! Will come by again next time for beers after my walk!

It's a hot sunny day at the Canopy. Had lunch at 3pm; missed the lunch promotion that offered starting at $20++. Lunch was local grilled chicken with squid ink rice.

It's a hot sunny day at the Canopy. Had lunch at 3pm; missed the lunch promotion that offered starting at $20++. Lunch was local grilled chicken with squid ink rice. Tangy, saucy, savoury was the taste of rice, chicken, arugula and fried egg. Delicious but I wished I had more vegetables cause I requested more in the note. It was still a little warm although not many guests at the restaurant. I wished more promotion was done to attract people after all it was a big space.
